We currently have one full-time tattoo artist : ran
Their art "style” concentrates mostly on a bold, colorful, illustrative look that has its roots in the American Tradition of Tattooing, while pulling subliminal inspiration from Asian (primarily Japanese, Indian and Korean) Art & leaning heavily on both Eastern & Western Folk Art, along with ancient/occult iconography.
That being said: they are never above doing simple walk-in pieces, whether it be in the minimalist "patchwork" lines-only style, a quick name, something from our huge historic tattoo flash collection, or even something fun you've found online!
Of course! We love taking your ideas, your quick sketches, and your reference images you've collected and turning them into a piece that will age gracefully with you. If you're interested, the first step would be booking an appointment, either for a consultation or for the tattoo itself - we can consult "digitally" as well through text messaging or through the shop facebook.
As we're a pretty busy shop, designs won't be started without an appointment or payment of a drawing fee (which would be credited toward the price of the tattoo once the tattoo itself is completed), and are often completed the night before or day of your appointment. Changes can always be made at the appointment, but may change any quoted pricing or timeframes for completion.
Head to our appointment site. our artists' availability can be seen there, and appointments can be booked, reschedule, and cancelled there and time.
Any reference images, ideas, etc can be sent via text or to our shop facebook page, at least a few days before your appointment - this will give our artists time to research, find complimentary references, and do all needed prep so your design can be completed the night before or day of your appointment.
In general, no. It is nothing personal, it's just a matter of timing and protecting our work.
We're often completing your piece the night before or morning of your appointment. We can make many changes "on the fly" at the time of your appointment, and will gladly reschedule in the very rare instance that miscommunication has occured & a full overhaul is needed.
If you'd like to see your design early, we ask that you set up a consulatation close to your appointment day to see it in person.
We sure do!
We have thousands of sheets of historic tattoo flash handed down to us by Crazy Joe in Avon when he retired after his storied 50- year career. We also have the flash our artists have collected through the years, and the sheets our artists themselves have designed.
Our artists often have special pricing on their pre-made designs, and we make seasonal posts for other flash specials.
We do also have 4 "Get what you get" machines, where we regularly rotate the themes of the available designs.
